Endless Engines

The Idea

Participating in the Endless Engines 3D Community Challenge was an exhilarating journey of creativity and collaboration. From the moment I joined the challenge, I was immersed in a vibrant community of designers and engineers, all passionate about pushing the boundaries of 3D modeling and engine design. As I delved into the task at hand, I found myself captivated by the endless possibilities that lay before me. With each design iteration, I challenged myself to innovate, pushing the limits of what I thought was achievable.

Engaging with fellow participants was a highlight of the experience. Sharing ideas, offering feedback, and drawing inspiration from others fueled my enthusiasm and spurred me to new heights of creativity. Every model I created was a labor of love, a testament to my dedication to the craft and my desire to contribute something meaningful to the challenge. In the end, while the competition was fierce, the camaraderie and sense of accomplishment I gained from participating were invaluable, leaving me inspired to continue exploring and pushing the boundaries of 3D design in the future.

The Project

My inspiration for the video stemmed from an old apocalyptic movie, sparking a creative fire within me to delve into this theme. From scratch, I meticulously modeled the car and gas station, ensuring every detail captured the essence of a world in ruin. The addition of the road, scattered debris, desolate trees, and the ominous bunker further enriched the scene, painting a vivid picture of a post-apocalyptic landscape.

Animating the nuclear explosion presented it’s challenges, requiring intricate attention to detail and technical finesse. Yet, through perseverance and determination, I successfully brought the explosive moment to life, infusing the scene with a palpable sense of chaos and devastation.

Though my entry didn’t secure a spot in the top 100, the journey was far from fruitless. It left me brimming with inspiration and enthusiasm for future projects, fueled by the camaraderie of fellow participants and the satisfaction of pushing my creative boundaries. In the end, the experience was not just about the destination but the exhilarating process of exploration and growth.
